Wen-Xu Hong, Ph.D., Professor

Dr. Hong is the Deputy Director of Shenzhen Blood Center and the Director of Shenzhen Institute of Transfusion Medicine. He obtained his PhD degree from Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and later finished his postdoctoral training in Department of Molecular Biology, the Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) from 2006-2010. In 2015, Dr. Hong was a visiting scholar in Department of Biochemistry and Clinical Genetics, College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. Prof. Prof. Hong has more than 30 published research articles with more than 500 times. Currently, his research is focusing on polymorphism and function study in non-classical human leukocyte antigen (HLA) molecules.
